I was elected to the SVUSD school board in 2016 to pursue these priorities: ensure the success of all our students, improve communications and collaboration in our community, increase funding for our schools, oversee the completion of our Middle School remodel, and promote values that foster a safe environment and lasting citizenship.

In the two years that I have served, I have addressed these priorities by serving on the Budget Subcommittee to work on our finances, supported the Superintendent in addressing Middle School remodel needs, helped update our District Vision and Mission statements, promoted policies to improve our curriculum for students “in the middle” through K Street Academy, and more CTE education, promoted processes to improve District communications, and have been working on the Parcel Tax subcommittee to address our funding needs.

But there is much left to do.  These first two years have been a learning experience.  If re-elected, I will use these next four years to work for change in Sacramento that leads to real funding improvements from the State. I will continue to put our students first, serving you and them with integrity, thoughtfulness, and hard work.

I would be honored to receive your vote.
